A major accident happened in Mumbai early this morning. A massive fire broke out in a 20-storey building opposite Bhatia Hospital in Mumbai’s Tardeo area. So far seven people have been reported dead in this fire incident. At the same time, 28 people have been admitted to the hospital, out of which seven people have died. The cause of the fire in the building is yet to be ascertained. There is a fire fighting system in the building.
Let us tell you that Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar informed that at present the fire has been brought under control, but it is becoming difficult to breathe due to smoke around the building. Six elderly people have been admitted to the hospital due to difficulty in breathing, they have been kept on oxygen support.
According to officials, the fire started at around 7 am on the 18th floor of the 20-storey building. After this, 13 fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the fire and after two to three hours of effort, the fire was brought under control. Even after the fire is extinguished, there are reports of people trapped there. Officials said five ambulances have been deployed near the building.

According to the information, all the injured have been taken to the nearby Bhatia Hospital. Of them, 12 have been admitted to the general ward as their condition is stable, while three have been admitted to the ICU as their condition is critical. A doctor of Bhatia Hospital said that two people have died of burns in this accident. Four people have died in Nair Hospital.
Many leaders including Rahul Gandhi expressed grief over the incident of fire in a multi-storey building in Mumbai and appealed for all possible help to the people affected in the incident.
