Noida: Former Indian team cricketer Munaf Patel is in trouble. Let us tell you that the Noida district administration has recovered Rs 52 lakh from Munaf Patel. Not only this, his two bank accounts have also been sealed with immediate effect. An officer has given this information. This action has been taken against Patel on the basis of recovery certificate (RC) issued by the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA). Munaf Patel is the Director in the builder company ‘Niwas Promoters Private Limited’. UP RERA has taken this action on the allegation of Munaf Patel’s company not returning the money to the investors.
Giving more details about the incident, Noida District Magistrate Suhas LY said that action has been taken against the builder on the RC of ‘UP RERA’. Munaf Patel is also a director in that company. After legal advice, the revenue team seized the bank account and recovered the RC money. He informed that efforts are also being made to recover the outstanding amount. The District Magistrate said, “A project named ‘Oneleaf Troy’ is being worked on in Greater Noida West Sector-10 under ‘Niwas Promoters Pvt Ltd’, whose buyers had complained to UP RERA about the project not being completed on time. After hearing on the basis of the complaint, the UP RERA passed an order against the builder.”
Along with this, LY Suhas also told that UP RERA had issued RC to the builder for non-compliance of the order. More than 40 RCs worth Rs 10 crore are pending with the district administration against the builder. Along with this, District Magistrate LY said, “In this case, the team of Dadri tehsil tried to recover, but the builder did not give the money. Thereafter, the tehsil team started recovery from the directors of the company after taking legal advice.”
