Azamgarh. Is CM Yogi Adityanath contemplating to change the name of Azamgarh located in Purvanchal of UP? This question is in discussion since yesterday. The reason for this is the speech given by Yogi in the public meeting of Azamgarh. Yogi had held two public meetings on Sunday for the by-elections to the Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat. In these public meetings, Yogi took the new name of Azamgarh. Yogi had said in his public meetings that ‘people have a golden opportunity to change the name of Azamgarh to Aryamgarh’ by winning the election to BJP candidate Nirhua. Let us tell you that during the last tenure, the Yogi government had renamed Faizabad as Ayodhya. Apart from this, the names of Jhansi and Mirzapur stations were changed.
Your opportunity has come to be associated with the process of making Azamgarh into Aryamgarh.

Yogi also targeted the Samajwadi Party and BSP fiercely in his public meeting. Yogi said that SP has made Azamgarh a stronghold of terrorism. He said that Azamgarh gave two CMs to UP. Both of them did not do any work for the development of UP. Without naming BSP supremo Mayawati, Yogi said that the second CM who was given a chance by Azamgarh, could not bring down the reign of terror from here. Actually, terrorists have been arrested many times from Azamgarh. Yogi was pointing in this direction.

Talking about Azamgarh Lok Sabha by-election, from here BJP has once again fielded folk singer Nirhua. At the same time, Dharmendra Yadav from SP and Guddu Jamali from BSP are trying their luck. Azamgarh parliamentary seat is in the possession of SP for 5 consecutive times. Akhilesh Yadav was elected MP from this seat in 2019. He resigned from the post of Azamgarh MP after winning the Karhal seat in the UP assembly elections.
