Medical students across the country have taken to the streets over the irregularities in the NEET exam. Congress’ student wing NSUI also protested against the irregularities in the NEET exam. Delhi Police has registered an FIR against NSUI workers Honey Bagga, Rajyavardhan and others for protesting at the residence of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in the NEET exam case.
Career will not be put in danger
Amid the uproar over the NEET exam, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had said on the social media platform X that the government is committed to protecting the interests of the examinees. He wants to assure the students that all their concerns will be resolved with fairness and equality. No student will be harmed and no child’s career will be put at risk.
NEET counseling process will start soon
Along with this, he said that the facts related to the NEET exam are in the knowledge of the Supreme Court. The central government will take all necessary action for the welfare of the students as per the instructions of the Supreme Court. The counseling process of NEET will start soon. It is very important for all of us to move forward in this direction without any confusion.
Supreme Court issued notice to NTA
Let us tell you that the matter of irregularities in the NEET paper has now reached the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the demand for a CBI inquiry into the NEET case. The Supreme Court has also sought a reply from the NTA within 2 weeks. Now, the hearing of this case will be held on July 8.
SC clearly refuses to ban NEET counseling
On Friday, the Supreme Court has issued this notice on the transfer petition of NTA. On July 8, all the petitions of NEET are to be heard together in the Supreme Court. The National Testing Agency (NTA) had demanded from the Supreme Court that the petitions filed against NEET Exam 2024 in the High Courts across the country should be transferred and heard in the Supreme Court. Also, the Supreme Court has clearly refused to stay NEET counseling. The court said that there is no order on the petition demanding a CBI inquiry.
