Yes….Let us tell you that Lt Gen Manoj Pandey will be the next Chief of Indian Army. The central government has given green signal to his name. Presently this post is held by Manoj Naravane. Now it is believed that Naravane can be given the command of CDS very soon. On the other hand, the Union Defense Ministry said, “The government has decided to appoint Lt Gen Manoj Pandey as the next Chief of Army Staff.” On April 30, he will be duly handed over the command of the Chief of Army Staff. Manoj Mukand Naravane is going to retire this month.

Who is Manoj Pandey
Let us tell you that Lt Gen Manoj Pandey was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers in December 1982. He is a graduate of Staff College, Camberley (UK). He also attended Higher Command Course at Army War College, Mhow and National Defense College in Delhi. He has also demonstrated his Jauhar through Operation Vijay and Operation Parakram in his 37 years of service. On the other hand, this is going to be the first time in military history that when the command of the Chief of Army Staff will be handed over to an engineer. As a result of the activities of the last several days, Manoj Pandey has come in the rank of most senior officers. Many officers have retired in the past. In which Lt Gen Raj Shukla, Lt CP Mohanty and Lt YK Joshi are included.
