The Government of India has appointed IRS Nitin Gupta as the Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes. A notification in this regard has been issued by the Appointments Committee of the Government of India. A letter has been issued in this regard on behalf of Appointments Committee Secretary Deepti Umashankar. Nitin Gupta is a 1986 batch IRS officer. He has worked as DG of Competition Commission of India.
