The crime branch on Friday busted a fake currency printing racket at Kailashbhatta in Ghaziabad, New Delhi. This gang had printed fake notes of about Rs 17 lakh in eight months. The members of this gang have distributed fake notes worth about Rs 11 lakh in the market.
According to the information, these gangs were making counterfeit notes in a house of Kailabhatta. Police have arrested 7 people by raiding and seized 6 lakh 59 thousand fake notes. During interrogation, it was found that the gang members were making fake notes after learning from YouTube. According to CO Sadar Akash Patel, this gang was active in Kailashbhatta for 8 months. On the basis of the information, a member of the police team went there and dealt with fake notes and thus the gang was busted. Azad, a resident of Chaman Colony, was the leader of the gang and the work of printing notes was going on at the house of Yunus, a resident of Kailabhatta. Azad from the gang, Sonu and Yunus were printing notes there and finishing it. Aman and Alam alias Ashish were supplying fake notes to the supplier while roaming in the market. Apart from counterfeit notes, the police have also seized printers, pharma, paper bundles and other materials. Along with this, information has been kept about the shopkeepers who were taking notes from this gang.
According to the police, Azad was giving 3 fake notes instead of one real note. Aman and Alam were taking 20 per cent commission for their supplies. According to Azad, a few months ago, at a petrol pump, a person had given some notes from him, some of which were fake. Azad got the idea of printing fake notes after he found fake notes at a petrol pump. Later he started this work by learning from YouTube with a friend.
