Let us now tell you about this new rule.
What is the rule?
Actually, now even in international cricket, if a batsman is caught out, the next ball will have to be played by the new batsman. On running away, not the other, but the new bowler will have to play after the dismissal of a player. Apart from this, another rule has been implemented. In this, now the bowler will not be able to shine the ball with his saliva. If a player is found doing so, he will be fined.
What did Sourav Ganguly say?
After this meeting organized by the ICC, Indian Cricket Board President Sourav Ganguly said, “It is an honor for me to chair the ICC Cricket Committee meeting for the first time. I am happy with the contribution of the committee members, which resulted in important recommendations. I thank all the members for their valuable suggestions.
Changes will happen from October 1
Earlier, when a batsman was caught out, in such a situation, if the bat at the other end of the crease reached the batting end, he was entitled to play the next ball. But now after the new rule this will not happen. Now if any player is caught out, then the next ball will be played by the new batsman. Apart from this, now the bowler will not be able to use his saliva to shine the ball. After the Corona epidemic, this rule was introduced for security, but now it has been implemented permanently. All these rules will come into effect from October 1.
