The inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House is going to be held in 2 sessions. The first session will be from 7.15 am to 9.30 am. The second session will run from 12 noon to around 2 pm.
Holy Sengol is to be installed in the Lok Sabha Hall of the new Parliament House. During this, the priests of Adhinam of Tamil Nadu will chant. Sengol was handed over to PM Modi yesterday by the priests of Adheenam.
888 MPs in the Lok Sabha and 384 MPs in the Rajya Sabha will be able to sit in the new Parliament House. The joint session will be held in the Lok Sabha chamber. 1280 MPs will be able to sit here simultaneously.
The new Parliament House has been made in the shape of a triangle. This building is built in 64500 square meters. The new Parliament House has three main gates namely Gyan Dwar, Shakti Dwar and Karma Dwar.
Tata Projects was given the task of building the new Parliament building. Rs 861.90 crore was fixed for this. In 2020, Union Minister Hardeep Puri had told that the cost has increased to 971 crores. Now, according to media reports, 1200 crore rupees have been spent in the construction of the new Parliament House.
