Munro played one Test, 57 ODIs and 65 T20 matches for New Zealand. He has scored three centuries in T20 Internationals, including a century in 47 balls against West Indies in 2018, which was a New Zealand record at the time. He also scored a half-century in 14 balls against Sri Lanka which is a Black Caps record and the fourth fastest half-century in T20I cricket. He also has the highest number of centuries in T20 International for New Zealand.
