Let us tell you that this is not the first time that Nitish Kumar has broken the alliance with the BJP. Even before this, he had severed his 17-year-old ties with the NDA in 2014 after the BJP made Narendra Modi its prime ministerial candidate. Then after this, in the year 2015, he formed the government with Lalu Yadav’s party RJD. However, the alliance between the two did not last long. Nitish Kumar broke ties with RJD in the year 2017 citing ‘anti-corruption’ as the reason and surprised everyone by forming the government with the BJP at midnight.
