The Allahabad High Court has dismissed the petition to get the 22 rooms of the Taj Mahal opened and surveyed. The High Court made a scathing remark that who are you to open the rooms of Taj Mahal, do not make fun of PIL. The counsel for the petitioner says that they have not given up yet. In this matter they will approach the Supreme Court.
On Wednesday, the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court rejected outright the petition for the opening of 22 closed rooms of the Taj Mahal and conducting a survey. During the hearing, the court reprimanded the petitioner and asked who are you to open the rooms of the Taj Mahal? The court said that the system of public interest litigation should not be misused. Also said that tomorrow you will come and say that we need permission to go to the honorable judge’s chamber.
If Shahjahan didn’t make it then who built it: High Court
On the plea of the petitioner, the High Court said that you do not believe that the Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan. If so, then go and do research, do MA, do PhD. We are not sitting here to give a verdict that who built the Taj Mahal or what is the age of the Taj Mahal?
Will go to Supreme Court: Petitioner
After the High Court dismissed the petition, the petitioner’s lawyer told the media outside the courtroom that he would now go to the Supreme Court. The lawyer once again reiterated that those 22 rooms of the Taj Mahal have been closed for many years. Everyone has the right to know what is inside those rooms?
