New Delhi. Bombay High Court has clearly refused to give relief to the minor accused in Pune Porsche car accident case. Rejecting the petition filed by the aunt of the minor accused, the High Court said that he is in remand home, so there is no need to release him by giving interim relief. The aunt of the minor had filed a petition demanding his release, alleging illegal detention of the minor teenager. At the same time, after receiving the report of the panel in this case, WCD has issued notice to two JJB members appointed by the department.
The division bench of Justice Bharti Dangre and Justice Manjusha Deshpande gave its order after hearing the habeas corpus petition filed by the aunt of the accused minor. In the habeas corpus petition filed by the woman, it was said that it was an accident and the person driving the vehicle was a minor, so he should be released immediately. Let us tell you that this incident happened on May 19 when the minor teenager was driving his Porsche car at a very high speed after getting drunk, then he hit a bike. The collision was so severe that the young man and woman riding the bike died on the spot.
After this, the minor was taken into custody and presented before the Juvenile Justice Board from where the minor got bail after a few hours. The court ordered the minor to work with the traffic police for 15 days and write an essay of 300 words on the impact and solution of road accidents. After this absurd decision of the court, the matter gained momentum. After which many people including the minor’s father, grandfather and mother were later arrested.
