The world recognizes the might of India’s intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). In recent times, some foreign media reports have accused RAW of eliminating terrorists through covert operations in Canada, America and Pakistan. All these reports have been continuously denied by India. In such a situation, when Network18’s Group Editor in Chief Rahul Joshi talked about this in an exclusive interview with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he asked not to give much importance to these reports.
However, Amit Shah also said, ‘Today the whole world has understood that India’s border and army should not be tampered with, otherwise a befitting reply will be given.’ Read Amit Shah’s complete conversation on this issue with Rahul Joshi, Group Editor-in-Chief of Network18…
Rahul Joshi: There was a report in the Guardian, in which it was claimed that RAW had killed 20 terrorists in Pakistan using some people there. What would you say about this?
Amit Shah: Look who killed. This is a question of finding. But I definitely believe that it has been exposed that there were people spreading terror in India on the soil of Pakistan.
Question: The Prime Minister is also saying this. Many of your senior leaders are also saying that now this India is no longer the India which will stand and watch the show from the side. This India enters the house and kills. What are your thoughts on this?
Amit Shah: Certainly after the surgical strikes and air strikes, the whole world has understood that one should not tamper with India’s border and the Indian Army, otherwise a befitting reply is given.
Rahul Joshi: One such article has come on Washington Post, in which they have said that our intelligence agency RAW was planning to kill some terrorists in the US.

Amit Shah: Look, no opinion should be formed on the basis of such media reports. If there is any concrete allegation then the agencies will answer it. If any government discusses with us through diplomatic method, we will respond to it.
Rahul Joshi: There was also discussion on Nijjar’s murder in Canada.
Amit Shah: I do not believe that any serious questions arise when such allegations are made in the media.
For the last few months, many articles have been appearing in the Western press which talk about electoral autocracy and dictatorship in India. How do you see this? Do you see any conspiracy in this, which comes again and again during elections? On this question, Amit Shah said, ‘Leave the conspiracies. I am saying this with great pride and confidence that our democracy, our democratic system and our elections… are the most transparent and most reliable of the three in the world.
