The country’s two-wheeler manufacturer TVS launched the limited edition of Apache RTR 165 RP in the Indian market last month. Equipped with a very attractive design, the price of this model has been fixed at 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Interestingly, at the moment, the domestic two-wheeler manufacturer has announced that the bike is now completely sold out in India. Yes, the company has sold 200 units of the bike in less than two weeks of its launch in the country.
Due to the special update, the company increased the price
The first bike under TVS’s RP series is based on the RTR 165 RP (Apache RTR 160 4V) but is priced higher due to various upgrades, TVS Apache RTR 165 RP gets the new 164.9 cc instead of the same engine as the RTR 160 4V. A single-cylinder four-valve engine is used, which generates 19 Bhp of power at 10,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 8,750 rpm.
This engine has been given a new cylinder head, 15 percent bigger valves along with 35 percent increase in intake. Overall, the Apache 165 RP can be said to be the most powerful bike in its segment, with its engine mated to a five-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. At the same time, in terms of braking, 240 mm rear disc brake has been used with 270 mm front disc brake.
What’s special about the design
The Apache 165 RTR RP gets a racing-inspired paint scheme of blue, white and red colours. The bike is built on a double cradle synchro chassis, which increases stability by up to 25 percent. A distinctive decal on its fuel tank defines it as a 15-year anniversary edition. Talking about the main highlights of the design, the new Apache has been given aggressive headlamps with the signature front position lamp. This LED Class B headlamp comprises of 5 LEDs which have 2 low beam and 3 high beam lamps.
