HD Kumaraswamy
Janata Dal Secular (JDS) leader HD Kumaraswamy on Wednesday said that the Congress’ attempt to form government at the Centre will not succeed. Speaking to reporters before leaving for Delhi, Kumaraswamy said that there will be a meeting of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) constituents in the capital and he will participate in it on behalf of the JDS. Replying to a question on Congress’ attempt to form government, Kumaraswamy said, “Nothing will happen.”
Kumaraswamy wins from Mandya
Kumaraswamy is the second-in-command in JDS. He won the Lok Sabha election from Mandya seat as an NDA candidate. Party candidate Mallesh Babu won from Kolar. However, party candidate Prajwal Revanna lost the election from Hassan.
NDA wins 19 seats
Let us tell you that the Election Commission of India on Tuesday declared the results of 542 out of 543 Lok Sabha constituencies, in which BJP has won 240 seats and Congress has won 99 seats. Whereas, in Karnataka, NDA has won 19 out of 28 Lok Sabha seats. BJP has won 17 and JDS has won two seats.
Congress won 9 seats in the state
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won 25 seats including an independent candidate supported by the party. At the same time, Congress had won one seat in the state in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which has won 9 seats this time. (Language)
