Jaipur. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the state government is sensitive to provide social security to all the needy including the deprived and helpless of the society. The state government, showing seriousness towards social security, has benefited every eligible person through various schemes. Social Security Pension, Palanhar Yojana, Chief Minister Anupriti Coaching Scheme are important schemes of the government. This gives opportunities to the needy to move forward.
Gehlot was addressing the review meeting of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday. The Chief Minister said that 92 lakh pensioners are being given pension in the state under social security pension. He said that it should be ensured that every needy gets the benefits of social security schemes. The departmental officers study the work being done in social security in different states of India and other countries.
Increased parenting assistance amount will be available from May 2022
The Chief Minister said that under the ambitious Palanhar Yojana of the government, monthly financial assistance is being provided to ensure the economic, social and educational development of 5.97 lakh children of the state. 3.88 lakh children were benefitted in the year 2019-20, now the number has almost doubled. The financial assistance amount has been increased in the scheme, in which the financial assistance of Rs.500 per month will be increased from Rs.500 to Rs.1500 per month for children of 0 to 6 years of age and from Rs.1000 to Rs.2500 per month from May 2022. He said that regular monitoring should be done for whether the benefited children are associated with education or not. Annual verification of children should also be ensured 100%. Increased seats in Chief Minister Anupriti Coaching Scheme The Chief Minister said that the number of seats has been increased under the Chief Minister’s Anupriti Coaching Scheme. The budget provision of Rs.25 crore has been increased to Rs.40 crore under the scheme. With this, the number of seats of students taking coaching has also increased from 10 thousand to 15 thousand. With this, the needy students of the state will get free coaching in higher institutions for the preparation of competitive examinations. He directed to issue a waiting list along with the list of selected students for coaching and to review the listed institutes regularly.
Give your share of central government scholarship on time
The Chief Minister said that the department should ensure that all eligible students should get scholarship on time. He said that in the post matric scholarship schemes, the state government has deposited 40 percent of its share in the bank accounts of eligible students, but the central government has deposited 60 percent of its share in the accounts of very few students. The central government should also deposit its share in the account of the remaining students soon. Now 5 thousand specially abled people will get scooty
The Chief Minister said that in the budget 2022-23, the number of scooters for special persons has been increased from 2 thousand to 5 thousand and the age limit in eligibility has also been increased to 45 years. This will benefit the students and those going for employment. He also directed to put a permanent ‘Logo’ of the State Government on these scooters. He also directed the departmental officers to conduct a survey of leprosy patients and provide them the benefits of the schemes.
Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Tikaram Julie said that there is a need to increase the number of scooties given by the State Government to the differently-abled. Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Akhil Arora directed to make the monitoring mechanism more robust and transparent for all the schemes of the department. Chief Secretary Smt. Usha Sharma, Social Justice and Empowerment Department’s Government Secretary Dr. Samit Sharma, and other officers were present in the meeting.
