Bajaj Chetak : Bajaj’s retro scooter Chetak has been available in electric avatar for two years now, and this scooter has not gained much popularity as compared to the older model of Chetak. One of the major reasons for this is that this scooter is not available for sale in every city. At the time of launch, the Chetak electric scooter was only offered in Pune and Bengaluru. Since then the company has continuously expanded Chetak’s presence to new states and cities. With expansion in major cities like Delhi and Mumbai, the Chetak electric scooter can now be booked here.
The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is currently available in 20 cities and 11 states. These include Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Daman and Diu, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and West Bengal. The waiting period for the Chetak electric scooter is currently 4 to 8 weeks, however those who wish to buy it can book the electric scooter online through the Bajaj Auto website for Rs 2,000.
Runs 90km on a single charge
The Bajaj Chetak is available in two variants, Urban and Premium, using the same 3.8kW motor in both the trims, coupled with a 3kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery pack. Since most other electric scooters now feature swappable/removable battery technology, the Chetak is currently lacking this feature. Bajaj Auto claims a top speed of 70kmph and a range of 95km (in Eco mode) for the Chetak scooter.
