In the last few years, the number of calls coming from unknown numbers through spam messages has increased significantly in smartphones. Unknown callers have become a big problem for all smartphone users these days. If you are also facing this problem then you can get rid of it soon. TRAI can soon provide a solution to this problem.
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India i.e. TRAI has taken many steps in the last few years to solve the problems of smartphone users. Some time ago, strict instructions were given by TRAI to telecom companies to stop promotional calls. Now TRAI can take a big step to remove the problem of unknown calls.
Telecom companies gave instructions
According to a report, TRAI is preparing to bring such a system in which all the big telecom companies of the country, Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL have been asked to activate the caller ID system as soon as possible, so that the smartphone users can answer the calls. Even before they can find out who is calling them.
TRAI is bringing CNAP
TRAI has named Calling Name Presentation i.e. CNAP in its caller ID system. The biggest feature of the Caller ID system will be that it will display on your phone the names of those people whose numbers will not be added to your mobile. That means if someone calls you from an unknown number, you will know his name.
According to the report, the service of calling name presentation will not be active by default. To start this service, customers will have to raise a request from their telecom operator. Only after this it will become active. This service of TRAI can be of great help in getting rid of the problem of fraud and unknown calls.
