New Delhi: From Delhi-NCR to Uttar Pradesh-Bihar, heat has started showing its true colours. Fire has been raining from the sky for the last few days in NCR areas including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida, Gurugram. The temperature is crossing 40 during the day and it has become difficult for people to live with the heat. There is a possibility of cloudy sky and light rain in Delhi-NCR, but along with relief, disaster has also been predicted. The mercury may cross 42 degrees Celsius in Delhi-NCR today. At the same time, in many areas of Bihar, the heat is decreasing a bit since last few days.
According to the Meteorological Department, now Delhiites in Delhi-NCR will have to be prepared to face the torture of 42 degree Celsius temperature. In the coming days, the havoc of heat will be seen more in Delhi-NCR. Today i.e. Tuesday, the temperature of Delhi is likely to cross 42 degrees Celsius. The sky of Delhi will remain clear for the next three-four days and it may also rain. It is a matter of relief that there is no heatwave like situation in Delhi-NCR right now. Meaning people will get relief from heat wave now. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain on the night of May 7 due to western disturbance. After this, there is a possibility of light rain again on 11th and 12th May. It is being told that the temperature is expected to reach 43 degrees in some areas of Delhi-NCR in the coming four-five days.
What will the weather be like today and tomorrow?
According to Skymet Weather, a weather information website, light to moderate rain and thundershowers along with lightning and strong winds (40-50 km per hour) are expected in Northeast India. There may be heavy rainfall at different places in West Bengal today i.e. on 7th May and 8th May. Between May 7 and 9, light to moderate rain and thunderstorm, lightning and isolated hailstorm may occur over East Bihar, East Jharkhand, Odisha, South Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and South Karnataka. Not only this, today light rain is possible in the eastern areas of Uttar Pradesh and it will gradually increase. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Uttarakhand and Kerala today.

Where will the heat blow?
According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave conditions are possible in some places of West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Tamil Nadu. People living in these areas should avoid coming out of their homes during the day. To avoid heat wave, the Meteorological Department has advised to drink plenty of water and avoid the afternoon sun.
