Actually withdrawing cash from ATM from next year i.e. 2022 will have a great impact on the pocket. Withdrawing cash from ATMs is going to be more expensive from next year.According to the information, banks can levy charges on the customer after withdrawing money more than the prescribed limit from the ATM. As per RBI guidelines, financial transactions above the free limit at the bank’s ATM will attract Rs 21 plus GST. These revised rates will be effective from January 1, 2022.Let us tell you that from next month, after crossing the limit of free cash withdrawal from ATM or exceeding the monthly limit of the transaction, instead of Rs 20, you will have to pay Rs 21 per transaction. In this regard, RBI had said that due to higher interchange charge and increase in general cost, it has allowed to increase the charge on the transaction to Rs 21. However, customers will be able to do 5 free financial and non-financial transactions every month from their own bank ATMs. They will also be able to do three free transactions from other bank’s ATMs in metro cities and five in non-metro centres. Apart from this, RBI has allowed banks to increase the interchange fee per transaction from Rs 15 to Rs 17 for financial transactions and from Rs 5 to Rs 6 for non-financial transactions across all centres.
