You can also use SBI YONO or SBI YONO Lite app to stop payment of cheque. So let’s know how you can request to stop check payment using internet banking.
Through Internet Banking:
To stop payment of cheque, you have to login to the official website of the bank onlinesbi.com.
After this you have to click on the option ‘Stop Check Payment’ from the ‘e-Service’ section.
After this the bank will ask you about the account from which you want to stop the check. Where the portal will ask you to check ‘Start Check Number’ and ‘End Check Number’.
After this the type of check will be asked by the portal and you will be asked the reason for withholding the check. For which you have to choose any one of the given reasons.
After this, information about the fee to be charged for this process will be given on the screen, which will be deducted from your account.
Through SBI Yoon :
Any customer of SBI can also stop payment of check through SBI YONO app.
For this, first they have to click on the ‘Request’ tab.
After this, after clicking on ‘Checkbook’ and then ‘Stop Check’, the account number has to be selected from the dropdown menu that opens.
Now the beginning number and end number of the check will have to be written. After that, after choosing the reason for stopping the check, click on the OK button.
After clicking on the OK button an OTP will come in the mobile. Your request will be completed as soon as you submit it.
Apart from this, any bank account holder can get his check payment stopped by visiting the bank apart from visiting the application and website.
