The Ministry of Women and Child Development has made it clear that Aadhar card is not mandatory for children to take advantage of the nutrition scheme. It has been made clear by the ministry that to take advantage of this scheme, registration can be done on the nutrition tracker app using the biometric card of the mother.

This clarification has been given by the ministry after the media report in which it was said that soon Aadhar card will be mandatory for lakhs of children to take advantage of the nutrition scheme. Now rejecting this report, the Ministry of Women and Child Development has made it clear that Aadhar card is not mandatory for giving benefits of nutrition scheme to children.
