New Delhi. There has been a ruckus in Kerala over the removal of undergarments from girl students during the NEET exam. On one hand, the student organizations expressed their anger over the matter. The students also vandalized the college while protesting. At the same time, the police have registered a case in connection with the alleged case of girls taking off their undergarments during the exam. Kerala Police has registered this case under section 354 and section 509 of IPC. Let us tell you that on July 17, 2022, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG) for admission to medical courses across the country. The examination was conducted in which more than 18 lakh students appeared.
At the same time, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken cognizance of the matter. The Commission has taken a serious note of the issue of girl students being forced to take off their undergarments during the screening before the NEET UG exam in Kerala. Along with this, taking cognizance of the matter, a report has been sought on time. The National Commission for Women said that this incident is shameful and degrading to the honor and dignity of daughters.
Commission’s chairperson Rekha Sharma has ordered the National Testing Agency to investigate the allegations made by the girl students to Vinit Joshi. Not only this, orders have also been given to take appropriate action against the accused.
