The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has objected to the delimitation in Jammu and Kashmir. Several tweets were made by OIC regarding the delimitation. The Secretary General of the OIC even called it a violation of international law. After this, India also reprimanded the Organization of Islamic Countries, saying that the OIC should not run a communal agenda at the behest of any one country. India was pointing towards Pakistan.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, “We are surprised that the OIC has once again made unnecessary comments on India’s internal affairs.” He said that in the past also the Government of India has rejected the statements of OIC regarding the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir is and will remain an integral part of India.
OIC general secretary Hisen Brahim Taha had said that he was concerned about changing the demography of Jammu and Kashmir. This is tampering with the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said in a tweet that under the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, the people there have the right to make decisions.
Let us inform that the Delimitation Commission constituted for Jammu and Kashmir has submitted its final report. After this, the way for elections in Jammu and Kashmir has also been cleared. According to the Election Commission, now there will be 90 assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir. There will be one Lok Sabha seat consisting of 18 assembly seats. That is, there will be a total of 5 Lok Sabha seats.
