Singapore: Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has openly talked about relations between India and Russia. In Singapore, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said on Sunday that Russia is a country with which India has always had positive relations. Both the countries have always shown readiness to take care of each other’s interests. The Indian Foreign Minister also rejected the notion that Moscow was moving towards China. Interacting with the Indian community in Singapore, Jaishankar said India should look at its relations with Russia or any other country from its own perspective.
Speaking on Russia, Jaishankar said that everyone maintains relationships based on past experiences. If I look at the history of India after independence, Russia has never harmed our interests. We have always had stable and friendly relations. Today our relationship with Moscow is based on this experience. Meanwhile, while discussing with the people in a questioning manner, Jaishankar said, “So, tell me whether Russia has helped us or harmed us? Has Russia contributed or created hindrance at important moments? Has Russia Will there be any benefit or only loss.”
India’s relations with Russia are always positive
India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said, “So, if I speak from my perspective and my experiences, I will get the answer… and in this case the answer is that Russia is a country with which we have always had positive relations. Have been.” Responding to a question, he said, “Both India and Russia have taken extra precautions to take care of each other’s interests. So, I think that is the confidence we should have as we move forward.”
India will continue to work together with America
Jaishankar said that despite Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, relations between India and Russia remained strong. Let us tell you that India has not yet condemned the Russian attack on Ukraine and has been saying that the crisis should be resolved through diplomacy and dialogue. Asked about the US presidential election in November and the Indian equation thereafter, Jaishankar said, “I prefer to be patient.” Jaishankar said that he is confident that whoever will be the President of America, India will work together with him.
