Air Force delivered 26 tonnes of relief material
- IAF’s C-17 military transport aircraft are also being used under Operation Ganga while Air India, Indigo, Vistara and SpiceJet are also providing their services.
- So far, 2,056 Indians have been brought through 10 special flights of the Air Force under Operation Ganga. 26 tonnes of relief material has also been delivered to neighboring countries of Ukraine.
China’s mission to save citizens after seven days from India
China on Friday launched its first charter plane to evacuate its citizens from war-torn Ukraine, which returned on Saturday morning. China has started efforts from India after seven days to rescue 3000 Chinese citizens who are trapped in the situation of war that started on 24 February. India started a mission to evacuate about 16,000 of its citizens from 26 February. China has not yet given details of the mission, but estimates are that the first flight used an Airbus A330-300 aircraft with a capacity of 301 passengers. The number of passengers was not disclosed. It is alleged that the Chinese government has collected 18 thousand yuan i.e. Rs 2.18 lakh from these passengers.
