New Delhi. The government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched many such schemes in the interest of the common people, whose impact can also be seen on the ground. The issue of employment has always been important for the youth. The Modi government has done a lot of work in this direction. Many types of schemes have been launched, which have brought positive changes in the lives of people. A lot of work has been done on the ground to provide employment opportunities to the youth and women, so that along with jobs, self-employment opportunities can also be created. Be it a job or the facility of giving loans at concessional rates for self-employment.
These 5 schemes of Modi Government have brought positive changes in rural as well as urban areas:-
Prime Minister’s Employment Incentive Scheme: Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMRPY) was launched in April 2016 to encourage employers to create new jobs. Thousands and lakhs of people benefited from this scheme. Along with starting their own employment, the beneficiaries also created new employment opportunities for others.
National Career Service Project: The project was launched to transform the National Employment Service to provide a variety of career related services like job matching, career counselling, vocational guidance, information on skill development courses, internships etc. The project consists of three important components – first, NCS Gateway second, Model Career Centres and interlinking of employment offices.
Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Employment Campaign: Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan was launched by PM Modi on 20 June 2020. The strategy to provide immediate employment included aspects such as livelihood opportunities for distressed people, saturating villages with public infrastructure and promoting income generating activities. A budget of Rs 50 thousand crore was kept for this.
Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Rural Skill Scheme: Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushal Yojana (DDU-GKY) is a skill development program for rural poor youth under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) since September 2014. Rural youth in the age group of 15-35 years are covered under this scheme.
Self-reliant India employment scheme: The Atmanirbhar Bharat Rojgar Yojana (ABRY) was launched in October 2020 as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Package 3.0 to provide social security benefits and restoration of employment losses during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as to incentivise employers for new employment creation.
