New Delhi. Most parts of the country are in the grip of extreme heat these days. From West Bengal to Odisha, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, heat wave conditions persist. People are avoiding leaving their homes. In view of the scorching heat, an order has been issued to close schools in Kerala. Besides, special advice has also been issued for those working in the field. The Health Department has appealed to take special care of children and the elderly. On the other hand, an alert has been issued regarding torrential rains in most of the states of North-East India. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Arunachal Pradesh and other states.
