The Shri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara, built in the early 19th century, is regarded as an architectural masterpiece. At present it houses a public library and it is occupied by the ‘Town Municipal Administration’ (TMA) of Mansehra since 1999.
The EPTB officials have now demanded in writing from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial government to hand over the Gurdwara to the board for proper protection. The EPTB is a statutory board that manages the religious properties and shrines of Hindus and Sikhs who migrated to India after Partition.
