Babar Azam got injured during batting practice in the nets.
PAK vs BAN Test Series: The Pakistan cricket team has to play a 2-match Test series against Bangladesh at home from 21 August. The first match of this series will be played at the Rawalpindi Stadium. The team for this series was already announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board, in which Shan Masood will be seen handling the responsibility of the captain. At the same time, star player Babar Azam is also preparing hard for this series, but during practice in the nets, he injured himself badly on the ball of Khurram Shahzad, due to which the Pakistani team can also get a big setback before the series starts.
Babar was hit by a straight ball on the groin during practice
The Pakistan team has started practice in preparation for the Test series against Bangladesh. On August 15, when Babar Azam was batting in the nets, he made a mistake in judging an incoming ball from Khurram Shahzad. The ball hit Babar’s groin directly, after which he was clearly seen in pain. After this, Babar left the nets for a while and did stretching. After getting rest, Babar returned to the nets again and practiced batting.
There will be pressure on Babar to perform well
All eyes will be on Babar Azam’s performance in the upcoming 2-match Test series because the Pakistan team played its last Test series on the tour of Australia last year in which Babar’s performance was very disappointing. Babar was not able to play even a single half-century innings in that series. On the other hand, if we look at Babar’s record against Bangladesh in Test cricket, it has been quite good in which he has scored 242 runs in three matches at an average of 80.67, which includes one century and one half-century innings.
