The news of atrocities on Hindus in Pakistan is not new. Every day the news of atrocities on minorities keeps coming to the fore. Along with harassing Hindus in Pakistan, they are vandalized the holy shrine. In one such case, the Supreme Court of Pakistan, while hearing a historic verdict, has imposed a fine of Rs 1.5 crore on the accused of vandalizing the tomb of Hindu saint Paramhansji Maharaj. The court there ordered the government of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province to repair the site within a month by imposing a fine. The Supreme Court has given its decision in this matter with great concern.
According to the information, a two-judge bench headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed also directed that more land be allotted for the extension of the samadhi. The bench said that the local people can be approached for additional land. If they are willing to sell the land, the provincial government will buy it and expand the mausoleum.
Looking at Pakistani history, this decision of the Supreme Court also becomes historic because such a decision has been taken for the first time in favor of minorities. Many generations will remember this decision. This has increased the confidence of the minority community in Pakistan in the judiciary. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has been negligent in following court orders in the past as well.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has also issued a stern warning on the ongoing persecution of minority Hindus in her country, saying that those attacking Durga Puja places and Hindu temples in Comilla will not be spared. The Comilla attack will be investigated and not a single criminal will be released. He also said that nothing should happen in India that affects our country and we Hindus have to face difficulties. If something happens in India, we affect the Hindus there. He said this while greeting Hindus on the occasion of Durga Puja at Dhakeshwari Temple in the capital Dhaka. The Prime Minister attended the Puja Mahotsav through video conferencing.
