The troubles of the former Mumbai Police Commissioner are not taking the name of less. After the recovery, Parambir Singh has been accused of missing the mobile phone of 26/11 attack mastermind Kasab. This allegation has been made by Shamsher Khan Pathan, retired ACP of Mumbai Police.
Former Mumbai Police ACP Shamsher Khan Pathan has written a letter to the Mumbai Police Commissioner. In this letter, he has told that ‘When Ajmal Amir Kasab was caught on the day of 26/11, after getting information about it, I had called my fellow NR Mali. At that time the gardener told me that Ajmal Kasab’s mobile phone was also recovered. Mali had informed that at that time many senior officers had arrived after the arrest of Kasab, one of whom was also the then Chief of ATS, Parambir Singh. The gardener told me that Kasab’s phone was with Kamble which Parambir Singh had kept with him.
Pathan has claimed in his letter that ‘this was the same phone from which Ajmal Kasab was getting instructions from Pakistan. The handlers of terrorists in Pakistan and India could have been revealed behind the attack from this mobile phone, but this phone did not participate in the investigation. At that time, Kasab’s case was being investigated by Police Inspector Mahalaya of Mumbai Crime Branch, to whom Parambir Singh had not given this phone for investigation.
In this letter, Pathan further wrote that ‘We suspected that Kasab’s phone could contain names of some big people apart from the connections of terrorists in both the countries, but it did not become part of the investigation. Had this phone been involved in the investigation, we would have had many important information today. Perhaps the plan of several attacks would also have been revealed. I spoke to Inspector Mali about this, then he told me that he had gone to ATS Chief Parambir Singh to collect evidence. He had also asked to hand over this evidence to the crime branch, but he got angry on the gardener and threw him out of the office.
Not only this, Pathan has also claimed in his letter that when this information was given to the then commissioner Venkatesh, he also did not take any action on it. However, Mali continued with his personal investigation and went through all the records and found that the records did not include the information about Kasab’s possession of the phone. This means that all the evidence had not reached the crime branch. This case proves that Parambir Singh has deliberately destroyed the evidence related to 26/11 Mumbai attack and he was involved with the enemies of the country. At the end of his letter, former ACP Pathan has told the police commissioner that being a retired ACP, he cannot remain silent in this matter and now he wants investigation against Parambir Singh.
Let us inform that before former ACP Shamsher Khan Pathan, the then Commissioner of Police Hasan Ghafoor had also accused several senior officers including Parambir Singh of refusing to fight the terrorists at the time of 26/11 terror attack.
The then Police Commissioner Hasan Ghafoor had also leveled charges against Parambir Singh. He said that at the time of 26/11 terror attack, senior police officers including Parambir Singh had refused to confront the terrorists.
Let us inform that these allegations against Parambir Singh have come to the fore when he has appeared before the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police in the recovery case after missing for several days.
