Delhi Capitals beat Punjab Kings by 17 runs in the 64th match of IPL 2022. With this win, Rishabh Pant’s team has secured the fourth position in the points table. Delhi has won back to back two matches for the first time in IPL 2022, while after this defeat, the race for the playoffs has become even more difficult for Punjab. Punjab now has one match left, if the team is able to win it, then they will be able to reach only 14 points. On the other hand, Delhi’s next match is against Mumbai Indians. If DC wins that match, then they can easily move into the play-ops as their net run rate is better than the rest of the teams. Apart from Delhi, now RCB is the only team that can reach 16 points. If RCB loses the next match against Gujarat Titans, then the fourth team will qualify for the playoffs on the basis of net run rate.
