Country’s leading bike maker Royal Enfield is the most popular premium motorcycle brand in India, and in November 2021, sales of some of its motorcycles have seen a huge increase. According to the report, a total of 2,154 units of Interceptor 650 and Continental GT650 have been sold in India last month.
This figure of sales is 94.23 percent more than in November last year. At the same time, in October 2021, the total of both the bikes was 1,236. Which shows an increase of 74.27 percent in units of motorcycles sold in November 2020.
Testing of the new model continues
Royal Enfield launched the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT650 for the first time in 2018. Earlier this year, the automaker updated both these motorcycles with new paint options. However, no mechanical changes were made in them.

If reports are to be believed, then the company is considering giving another update to the Royal Enfield 650 Twins next year. Royal Enfield is currently testing a two-in-one exhaust system for the Interceptor 650, which will be lighter than the existing dual exhaust setup.

Currently, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT650 are powered by a 648cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine that is capable of producing 47.65 PS of maximum power and 52 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options are handled by a 6-speed sequential gearbox, with a slipper clutch available as standard.

current model price
The price of Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 ranges from Rs 2.81 lakh to Rs 3.03 lakh, while the price of Continental GT650 goes up to Rs 2.98 lakh to Rs 3.20 lakh. At present, these bikes do not have any direct rivals in the Indian market, although BMW G310R, TVS Apache RR310 and KTM 390 Duke can be considered as rivals in terms of price.
