New car buyers in India are facing a major problem these days, and that is the long waiting period! Some of the cars are enjoying huge demand at the moment, due to their slow production due to lack of semiconductor chips. In this article, we bring you a list of such cars, which are present these days with the longest waiting period.
Mahindra cars dominated
The first car on our list is the XUV700. This SUV is currently in high demand, and that is why people have to wait a long time for its delivery. Customers of select variants of XUV700 have been waiting for a long time of up to nineteen months. Mahindra’s Thar is the second car on the list with a waiting period of 12 months. However, according to dealer sources in Delhi NCR and Dehradun, the actual waiting period for XUV700 and Thar can be reduced to around six to ten months depending on the variant and color chosen.
Hyundai and Maruti also in line
Also, the Hyundai Creta has a waiting period of 10 months, with the longest waiting period for the base trim. Whereas for other variants, buyers will have to wait around six months. The next car on the list is the Maruti Ertiga, which is on a wait of around three to five months only for the petrol variant and nine months for the CNG variant.
