British automaker MG Motors’ electric car ZS EV is the most expensive EV in the country, it is well known that we Indians look at the price before buying the vehicle, so ZS EV is considered to be the most expensive electric SUV. Getting customers is a bit difficult task. However, amid a gradual shift towards electric vehicles in the country, MG Motor India Company has announced that its sales grew by 145 per cent to 2,798 units in calendar year 2021.
According to the report, the company sold a total of 1,142 units in 2020. At present, the company has an electric sports utility vehicle ZS EV in its India EV product portfolio, which was launched in January 2020, and was later updated by the company in February last year. The ZS EV is available for sale in two variants, Excite and Exclusive, with prices starting at Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG ZS EV Range Available in Single Charge
The MG ZS is powered by a 44.5kWh lithium-ion battery, which generates 143PS of power and 353Nm of torque. The company claims that its updated battery pack has a range of 419km. In terms of charging, the MG ZS EV can charge from 0 to 100 percent in six to eight hours with a 7.4kW charger (can be installed at your home or office).
The MG ZS EV also comes with a portable charger that can be plugged into the regular 15A power socket. This charger takes about 18-19 hours to fully charge the car. However, MG has also installed 50kW DC fast chargers at some of its dealerships, which can charge from 0 to 80 percent in less than 50 minutes.
