Fearing Taliban, TTP did not accept the blast
The marathon meeting discussed how the suicide bomber managed to enter the high security zone, who was the culprit and how the government would respond to the new threat posed by the TTP. The meeting was informed that the TTP had in fact carried out the attack, but did not publicly acknowledge it, fearing a backlash from the Afghan Taliban.
