Pathankot. Incidents of attacks by pitbull dogs have been on the rise in recent times. It started from Lucknow, the capital of UP. In Lucknow, a woman was attacked and killed by a pitbull. Now the latest incident has happened in Pathankot, Punjab. Here a pitbull dog created a furore by roaming in 5 villages in an area of 15 km. In a span of 6 hours, Pitbull attacked 12 people. Apart from people, many cattle also became the target of this pitbull dog. The incident caused a stir in the area. Later a retired army officer killed the dog.
Pitbull first bitten 2 laborers in Tangoshah village late on Thursday night. The laborers tied him up, but the dog was released and then reached Ranjhe De Kothe village late in the night and attacked the elderly Dilip Kumar. Dilip ran, but the dog threw him on the ground and then badly injured him. Then Pitbull attacked Baldev Raj’s calf of this village. After that he ran towards Gharota. Many animals were bitten on the way. At a kiln he attacked a watchman named Ramnath. Then Pitbull reached Chhani village and targeted Mangal Singh.
In the early hours of Friday, Pitbull reached Kunde village and thrashed Gulshan Kumar, Dharam Chand, Darshana Devi, Ashok Sharma, Vibhishan Kumar and Gopi Sharma who were walking there. After escaping from here, he reached Chauhana village and bled to death by attacking the arm of retired army captain Shakti Salaria, who was walking in the field. Salaria freed the dog with a stick. Hearing his voice, the people of the village reached. The dog was surrounded. After that he was beaten to death. After this the panic of the people subsided. All the victims of pitbull got treatment.
