In this episode, many big faces have been changed at the secretary level in the central administration, while many new faces have got a place. Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Earlier, he had discharged the post of Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum. The Union Personnel Ministry has also issued a list in this context, in which the names of newly appointed secretaries in various ministries are registered. According to the list, Gyanesh Kumar has been appointed as Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation. Alkesh Kumar Sharma has been made Secretary, Ministry of Information Technology. Let us inform that Tarun Kapoor, advisor to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is a 1987 batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre. He retired from the Ministry of Oil and Natural Gas on 30 November 2021. For the time being, he will advise the PMO. Meanwhile, senior IAS officers Hari Ranjan Rao and Atish Chandra have been posted as additional secretaries in the PMO. Rao is a 1994 batch IAS officer of MP cadre. Presently he is the Administrator of Universal Services Obligation Fund in the Ministry of Telecom. On the other hand, Gyanesh Kumar has been made Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation. Presently he is the Secretary of Parliament Affairs. He has also been made the secretary of the Human Rights Commission. Alkesh Kumar Sharma has been made Secretary, Information Technology and Telecom.
S Radha Chauhan, a 1988 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, will be the new Secretary of DoPT in place of Tripathi. Sanjay Kumar, a 1990 batch IAS officer currently serving in his cadre state Bihar, will be the secretary of the youth affairs department. On the other hand, these changes have been made to streamline the central activities.
