New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital in Fiji. During this, PM Modi gave his address. It gives me great pleasure to be associated with this launch event of Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Heart Hospital. I express my gratitude to the Prime Minister of Fiji and the people of Fiji for this.
For a region where heart related diseases are a challenge, this hospital will become a vehicle to give new life to thousands of children. I am satisfied that every child will not only get world class treatment but all surgeries will be done free of cost.
PM Modi said, I especially bow to Brahmalin Sri Sathya Sai Baba for this. His work in the field of education-health inspires us. The people of Gujarat cannot forget the service rendered by Baba’s followers to the victims two decades ago when Gujarat was devastated by the earthquake.
This is a symbol of our traditional relationship, this is another chapter in the shared journey of India-Fiji. I am told, Children’s Heart Hospital is the first children’s heart hospital not only in Fiji but in the entire South Pacific region.
We have sent 100 million vaccines to about 100 countries, in this effort we have also given priority to Fiji. I am glad that Sai Foundation is carrying forward that feeling of belonging for Fiji to the whole of India.
Our culture has kept us (India-Fiji) connected to each other. In the last decades, the relations between India and Fiji have progressed continuously in every field.
