PM Modi in Gujarat: After a landslide victory in the assembly elections of five states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set out on a new mission. PM Modi, who arrived in Gujarat on his two-day visit, will address the Gujarat Panchayat Mahasammelan in Ahmedabad shortly. More than one lakh Panchayati Raj representatives of the state will participate in this program. According to the PMO, there are 33 district panchayats, 248 taluka panchayats and 14,500 gram panchayats in Gujarat in a three-tier panchayati raj structure. In this program named ‘Gujarat Panchayat Mahasammelan: Apnu Gam, Apnu Gaurav’, more than 1 lakh representatives from all the three levels of Panchayati Raj institutions of the state will participate.
On the second day of the visit, PM Modi will inaugurate the National Defense University (RRU) building, a national police university for training in policing, criminal justice and corrective administration. In the evening, he will inaugurate the 11th Khel Mahakumbh. According to the PMO, the National Defense University (RRU) was set up to meet the requirement of high quality trained workforce of different wings of Police, Criminal Justice, Justice and Correctional Administration. The government has established a National Police University by the name of Rashtriya Raksha Vishwavidyalaya by reforming the Raksha Shakti University. Tomorrow i.e. on March 12, PM will dedicate the building of National Defense University (RRU) to the nation at 11 am. As the chief guest, he will address the first convocation of RRU. After this, at 6.30 pm, will inaugurate the Khel Mahakumbh.
