Varanasi: Amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections across the country, all the parties are accusing each other. Meanwhile, Congress leaders call PM Modi a dictator from time to time. At the same time, PM Modi has openly responded to being repeatedly called a dictator by Congress leaders. In fact, after filing nomination from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday, PM Modi had an exclusive conversation with India TV. While talking to India TV, PM Modi has given a befitting reply to Congress for calling himself a dictator.
‘This is the main word in his dictionary’
When PM Modi was asked a question on calling him a ‘dictator’, he said that ‘this is the main word in their (Congress) dictionary and hence when they speak such language for an elected Prime Minister, then they are insulting the citizens of the country. They insult the voters of the country. Are the voters of India such that they will give the country to a dictator? The voters of India are so intelligent that if an act of dictatorship took place in this country in 1975, within two years this country uprooted that dictatorship.
‘An insult to the intelligence of the people of India’
Speaking further on this matter, PM Modi said that ‘Indian people have democracy in their veins, so if someone says that the people of India are innocent that they elect dictators, then this language is not an abuse to Modi, it is against millions of people of the country. Crores of people have been abused. A person who has been the CM of a state for a long time with a record majority, a person who has been elected by the people of the country for 10 consecutive years, it means you are not insulting Modi, you are trying to convince the people of India. They are insulting.
