Preparation to keep drinking water supply smooth in canalbandi, instructions given in departmental meeting

Jodhpur. During the 30 -day full canal of Indira Gandhi Canal, active preparations are being made at the departmental level to keep the drinking water system smooth in Jodhpur city and rural areas. In this sequence, a review meeting was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Engineer, Kshetra I Jodhpur Dinesh Kumar Nagauri. Additional Chief Engineer Ragalike Project Jodhpur Nakshatrasingh, Superintending Engineer Ajaykishan Chhangani, Rajendra Mehta and Executive Engineer of Jodhpur city and rural areas were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, all the field officers were directed to inspect regular water supply in their respective areas for smooth operation of drinking water system during the period of canalism and ensure quick corrective action as per requirement. Adequate water storage has been done by the department in various diggies of city and rural areas for the purpose of ensuring uninterrupted water supply during the canalbandi period.
