New Delhi. Indian electric mobility company Simple Energy is all set to compete with Ola Electric in the electric two-wheeler segment in the country. Keeping in view the increasing demand for electric vehicles in the country, the company today on Wednesday 8th December announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding / MoU with the Tamil Nadu State Government for an electric two-wheeler factory in the country. . According to this MoU, an investment of up to Rs 2,500 crore will be made for an electric two-wheeler factory.

Giving information today, Simple Energy Company has claimed that the electric two-wheeler factory to be set up by them will be the world’s largest electric two-wheeler factory.
Competition with Ola Electric
Earlier, Ola Electric had also claimed to build the world’s largest electric two-wheeler factory in India. In such a situation, today Simple Energy’s claim of building the world’s largest electric two-wheeler factory in the country reflects their competition against Ola Electric in the electric two-wheeler segment.

Giving information, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO, Simple Energy, said that the company will work in two phases. In the first phase, the company’s under-construction facility near Shoolagiri in Hosur aims to roll out one million units every year by early 2022. After this, in the second phase, the company will invest Rs 1,000 crore in its second factory on 600 acres of land in Dharmapuri. This exclusive facility will also house a future-ready R&D centre, a world-class testing facility and a vendor park.
Electric mobility will be redefined in India
Suhas Rajkumar further added that with the MoU, his company will set up a resourceful eco-system to lead the Indian E2W market in India, thereby accelerating the reduction of carbon footprint in the country. Simple Energy will wholeheartedly redefine electric mobility in India.
