Mumbai. In another blow to common man’s pocket, oil marketing companies have increased the prices of non-subsidised LPG cylinders after a gap of more than 5 months. The price of 14.2 kg non-subsidized cylinder in Delhi will now be Rs 949.50.
Apart from this, the price has increased to Rs 976 per cylinder in Kolkata, while it has gone up to Rs 965.50 and Rs 949.50 per cylinder in Chennai and Mumbai.
Accordingly, this is the first increase after 6 October 2021.
Besides this, state-owned oil marketing companies have also raised petrol and diesel prices after more than four months of stable rates.
Recently, crude oil prices have risen by around 35-40 per cent on the fear of tight supply.
It is feared that the current sanctions against Russia will reduce more global supplies and stifle growth.
At present, India imports about 85 per cent of its crude oil requirement.
