New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation on April 21 from the Red Fort. Giving information about the Prime Minister’s program, Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy said that the Government of India is going to organize a huge two-day program at the Red Fort on the occasion of the 400th Prakash Parv of the 9th Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur. He told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the closing ceremony on the second and last day of this grand and huge program on 21st April and will address the people. He said that Prime Minister Modi will also release a postage stamp and a coin on the occasion. The Union Minister said that for the first time such a program is being organized at the level of the Government of India, in which Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be involved on the first day i.e. on April 20 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the second and last day.
Let us tell you that, along with the members of the Management Committee and Executive Committee of the major Gurdwaras of the country, prominent Jathedars and prominent leaders of Sikhs are also being invited to participate in this program. People of Sikh Sangat from every corner of the country will participate in this program to be held at Red Fort. The Chief Ministers of 11 states included in the committee formed regarding this will also be invited to attend the program.
Giving information about the program organized on the 400th Prakash Parv during the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said that Guru Tegh Bahadur sacrificed his life for the country and religion. He fought and sacrificed himself against the forcible conversion of Hindus and Sikhs, especially the Hindus of Jammu and Kashmir, by the Mughals. He told that this Samagam is being organized to spread the information about the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur to the people and to inform the younger generation about his sacrifice. He said that to honor the unsung heroes of freedom, the government is organizing such programs across the country through Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav.
