Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said his government has implemented a number of reform measures in the last eight years, including scrapping of old laws, to make it easier to do business. In line with the principle of ‘Reform, Perform and Transform’, the government has undertaken several reforms that have made doing business easier, he tweeted.
Along with this, the government has also removed many of those old laws, which would have slowed down the process of development. He also shared information about the reforms made in the last eight years in the field of ease of doing business and promoting entrepreneurship in the country and spreading prosperity on a wider scale.
He also shared MyGov tweet threads and articles from his website and NaMo app. He referred to the major economic reforms undertaken by the government in the last eight years. He also shared a graphic by tweeting. It states that India is the fastest growing economy in the world.
The Indian economy grew at 8.7 per cent by the end of March 2022. It said that the highest ever GST collection till April 2022 was Rs 1.68 crore. The highest ever traded goods were exported at $421 billion in fiscal year 2022.
More than 70,000 recognized startups in the country out of which 100 are unicorns. In startups, 45 per cent are women directors. 2.5 lakh crores were procured through GeM. Highest ever FDI inflow of $83 billion in FY 2022, transferred through DBT to 22 lakh crore beneficiaries.
