Finally, Amarinder Singh’s new party has announced an alliance with the BJP for the Punjab elections. Both the parties have taken this decision after several rounds of talks. Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh himself has given this information after talks with the BJP in Delhi. Along with this, he has also shared a post with BJP’s Punjab in-charge Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
On Twitter, Amarinder Singh wrote, “Met in New Delhi today with BJP’s Punjab in-charge Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. This meeting was held to chalk out future strategy ahead of Punjab Assembly elections. We have formally prepared for the 2022 Punjab Assembly Elections. It has been decided to share seats with BJP.
At the same time, Amarinder Singh said in a conversation with the journalist, “Our alliance (with BJP) has been confirmed. Talks are going on only about seat sharing. We will first see who will contest where and where will win the seat. Chances are high.”
Let us inform that Captain Amarinder Singh resigned from the Congress and formed his new Punjab Lok Congress. After his resignation from the Congress, there was speculation that Amarinder Singh would go with the BJP, but Amarinder Singh put the issue of farmers in front of some BJP. After the return of the Agriculture Act, the road for the alliance between Amarinder Singh and the BJP became easier. Now it will be interesting to see whether this alliance is able to show amazing in the assembly elections or not.
