New Delhi. Ahead of the Punjab Assembly Election 2022, political agitations have intensified in the state. Former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, who started his new political party after leaving the Congress, took another step on Monday. Captain Amarinder Singh inaugurates the office of his party (Punjab Lok Congress) in Chandigarh. With the inauguration of the party office, the Captain also announced to contest the elections with the Bharatiya Janata Party.
The Captain himself arrived to inaugurate the office located in Sector 9D, Chandigarh. On contesting elections with BJP, Amarinder said that he has spoken to Amit Shah about this. However, the seats are yet to be settled.

The political heat has already gone up in Punjab ahead of the assembly elections to be held next year. Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday inaugurated the first party office in Chandigarh after quitting the Congress. During this, he also announced to contest the elections with not only BJP but Dhindsa’s party Samyukta Akali Dal.
Captain Amarinder Singh said that his main goal is to win the upcoming assembly elections. He also said that this election will be fought with BJP, there has been talk with Amit Shah about it, but the seat sharing is yet to be discussed.
In the press conference, the Captain said that the goal is to win the election, so the party will give tickets only to the winning or strong candidates. At present, there is yet to be a detailed discussion with the Bharatiya Janata Party regarding the tickets.

Let us inform that on Saturday, Amit Shah had also indicated about contesting elections in Punjab with Captain’s party. This is the first time such a statement has come out from the BJP side. Till now, they have been talking about this only in gestures.
Earlier, Captain Amarinder Singh sought Waheguru’s blessings before inaugurating the party office. The Captain tweeted that ‘praying to God for the prosperity and security of Punjab, as I pledge to continue working for the welfare of my state and its people.’
